Don’t sit in this, friend.
“So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death.”
This morning I was faced with these questions and they really had me thinking about my personal thoughts about myself, the world, and others lately. Especially the middle two:
+ where do you tend to turn when you you’re faced with your weakness?
+ what do you say to yourself when you’re confronted with failure?

“I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind.” I encourage anyone who may be feeling the kind of power within them that may be telling them deep rooted lies or causing them to be a slave to sin to really think about these questions. Examine how you’ve been responsive to this kind of power. For me, it can look like shutting down, running to friends to let out frustrations, going for a walk alone but not talking to Jesus who is waiting for me and I’m still refusing to talk or listen. “So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death.” 👈🏽👈🏼👈🏾 Don’t sit in this, friend. Find comfort in what scripture says after.. “But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.”
Unclench those jaws. Take a deep breath. Pray your honest prayer. And let Jesus transform your mind and bring you out of that mind destruction. 👊🏼
